Current medical scheme contribution deduction replaced by a medical scheme contribution for tax credit, for taxpayers aged below 65

Modernised 3rd Party Data Platform
SARS is modernising its current platform for 3rd party data submission by enabling taxpayers to submit supporting data.The new Direct Data Flow channel will be used for processing large volumes of data. Advance Tax Rulings - Freeze period
Applicants for advance tax rulings are reminded that due to the holiday season the estimated time to complete Advance Tax Rulings applications is extended. With reference to Interpretation Note 38 and specifically the estimated time to complete referred to in paragraph 4.2 and footnote 2 (page 2), kindly note that the 13 business days from 19 December 2011 to 6 January 2012 (both dates included) must be added to the estimated time to complete a ruling application. The freeze period is applicable to all applications that are in progress during that period.
