PAYE Annual Reconciliation deadline 31 May 2012 approaching With less than a month to the closing of the PAYE Annual Reconciliation on 31 May 2012, time is running out for employers to reconcile and submit their EMP501 for the period 1 March 2011 to 29 February 2012.

New banking beneficiaries for Dividends Tax With the introduction of Dividends Tax on 1 April 2012 – effectively replacing Secondary Tax on Companies (STC) – banking beneficiaries have also subsequently changed. For taxpayers who use internet banking, the previous STC beneficiary has now been removed from internet banking and has been replaced with a beneficiary for Dividends Withholding Tax (WHT). The new WHT beneficiary allows taxpayers to pay both STC and Dividends Tax
Modernised 3rd Party Data Platform SARS is modernising its current platform for 3rd party data submission by enabling taxpayers to submit supporting data.The new Direct Data Flow channel will be used for processing large volumes of data.
