New banking beneficiaries for Dividends Tax
With the introduction of Dividends Tax on 1 April 2012 – effectively replacing Secondary Tax on Companies (STC) – banking beneficiaries have also subsequently changed. For taxpayers who use internet banking, the previous STC beneficiary has now been removed from internet banking and has been replaced with a beneficiary for Dividends Withholding Tax (WHT).
